A little too close for comfort

 I’m getting a little too careless in my purchasing.

I was at the local department store looking at the new spring dresses. While I was there I saw a skirt that would go perfect with a blouse I purchased a while back on line. It was marked 75% off. Even better

So I go to the checkout line which, due to staffing shortages, was pretty long.

As I was standing there, I looked in the distance and saw a friend, from church non the less, and her daughter also shopping for dresses. I don’t think they saw me with my skirt. They were far enough away.

But I hightailed it to the other side of the store to another cashier.

I was not gonna pass on that skirt.

Note to self:  situation awareness is a must for sissies
